Unmanned launch of the PROGRESS-MS 29 spacecraft

Touch the cosmos

Baikonur Cosmodrome is one of the most iconic and exciting places in the world of cosmonautics. It was from here that Yuri Gagarin set off on the Vostok-1 spacecraft. The first artificial satellite was launched from here.

As part of the tour you will be able to visit all the main attractions of the cosmodrome, including launch complexes, museum of cosmonautics, flight control center and other interesting objects. You will be able to observe the process of preparing the rocket for launch, see the astronauts' send-off, hear the official report of the crew, and most importantly - see the rocket launch with your own eyes!

Launch vehicle transportation and verticalization

You will see the 50-meter rocket from the closest angle as it is being taken out of the assembly and test facility and verticalized at the launch complex.

Two days before liftoff, at exactly 7:00 a.m., the giant gates of the MIK open and the rocket rollout begins. The early morning rollout is a long-standing tradition, and it is not broken even in bad weather.
The Baikonur assembly and test complex is one of the largest and most complex structures of the cosmodrome. It is designed to assemble, test and prepare rockets and spacecraft for launch.

A launch complex is a site with a large amount of auxiliary equipment, thanks to which the rocket is launched.

A visit to the
launch and assembly/test complexes

Visit to mine launchers

You will visit the deep shafts that house the launch vehicles. One of the features of silo launchers is their high degree of protection from external influences. They can withstand strong earthquakes, hurricanes and other natural disasters. The units can even operate in automatic mode.

Visiting an international space school and communicating with astronauts

The International Space School in Baikonur was established in 2018 as part of a cooperation program between Russia and Kazakhstan.

Here, students work with real equipment and participate in scientific research in the space industry. At the school, you will attend a conference with astronauts held before each launch.

Visit to the Saturn measuring center

The Center is designed to control and manage all processes related to the launch of rockets and spacecraft. It is equipped with modern communication systems, radar stations and other means that allow controlling rockets at all stages of their flight. In addition, Saturn collects and processes information on the status of rockets and space objects.

Visit to the command center of Energia, Zenit and others

During a visit to one of the command centers – Energia, Zenit, or the Gagarin Command Bunker – you can experience what it’s like to be a rocket engineer, pushing the ‘Start’ button for the launch of a super-heavy rocket into space.

The command post is a huge fortified bunker the size of a soccer field, which from the outside looks like a huge mound. Inside, it consists of several floors with thick walls, powerful doors, corridors and halls. Such protection is specially designed in case of an explosion or a rocket fall, despite the fact that the launch site is more than 3 km away.

Visiting the Gagarin Launch

“Gagarin Launch is the heart of the cosmodrome, site No. 1, from which legendary rocket launches were performed: the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite, the first human space flight, the launch of the Soyuz spacecraft, which then docked with the Apollo spacecraft. In 65 years, more than 630 rockets have been launched from the Gagarin launch site, although initially it was planned to test only a few ballistic missiles here.
The highlight of the trip is watching the rocket launch from a special observation deck. You will feel the authentic murmur of the spaceport and see a huge rocket slowly rising into the air. You can also watch this process with special telescopes and binoculars, which are installed on the observation deck.
